This is the hub for hiring programmable name badges in the UK. We programme 250×122 e-paper faces in Cleckheaton, ship charged hardware for your dates, and take hire kits back on a prepaid label when the event ends.

What hire covers

Hire is quantity × days × £6 per badge, plus £20 postage out and back. Faces are designed on the site in brick red, black, and e-paper white — the same three inks as the physical display. What you design is what people wear in the room.

We confirm dates after you submit a booking request. A request alone is not a reservation until we reply. Allow programming and courier time from West Yorkshire before your first session starts.

Deposits on kit sizes hold your slot while we check the calendar. The full hire total follows the formula on the pricing page — deposits are not the entire fee. Charged badges, programmed faces, and a prepaid return label are all in the hire line.

Who uses the same hardware

Conferences, trade shows, breakfast clubs, visitor days, and referral meetings all run on the same white-bezel badge. The layout changes — attendee, speaker, member, visitor, host — not the device.

We feature BNI because we sit in a UK chapter and wear the kit ourselves on Tuesday mornings. That is not an official BNI International partnership. Conferences and visitor days use the same three inks and the same hire formula.

Hire versus buy

Hire when you need badges for named calendar dates. Buy at £80 per device plus £20 postage when you want hardware that stays with you — year one of the account platform is included, then £30 per month per account.

Most event organisers hire once or twice a year and return the kit. Chapters that meet weekly sometimes buy after they have proved the workflow on a hire window.

Where to go next

Plan quantity with the conference sizing guide, compare hire totals with printed badges on the cost page, or read what arrives in the box before you book. The designer accepts imports, pasted lists, and per-person QR actions.

Kit sizes run 1, 10, 25, and 50 on checkout. Larger days — contact hire@inkbadgehire.com. Fifty badges for one conference day is £320 hire plus £20 postage under the current formula.

What we skip on event day

No foyer printer queue, no plastic wallet assembly line, no bin of misprinted inserts after lunch. Greeters hand out hardware that already shows the delegate name, role bar, and QR if you added one.

Paper still works for disposable mega-events — see the printed comparison guide. For recurring UK formats where names change and the same group meets again, hire returns the kit and we programme the next face set here in Cleckheaton.
