Trade shows

Exhibitor names that survive day two.

Trade shows punish paper inserts — staff swap booths, spelling fixes arrive late, and lanyards flip backwards on the stand. Hire ship-ready e-ink badges with exhibitor or staff faces programmed in Cleckheaton before freight leaves. Same 250×122 three-ink grid as conference hire.

Before the show floor opens

Design exhibitor, staff, and VIP layouts in the designer — same hardware, different templates. Import your team list, attach QR for lead-capture links if you use them, and we programme before dispatch.

Fifty badges for one show day is £320 hire plus £20 postage. Multi-day shows multiply calendar days on the hire rate.

Allow courier time from Cleckheaton before the show build — same lead window as conference kits.

On the stand

Hand badges out at stand setup — names already on the face. No thermal printer under the counter. If a colleague flies in unlisted, update their face during the hire window instead of handwriting a tent.

QR on the right lets prospects scan a demo booking link without a stack of business cards.

Brick red, black, and e-paper white read under expo hall lights without a backlight — unlike a phone app badge buried in a pocket.

Multi-day shows

Reuse the same hardware across show days. Charge overnight if you run long hours — see the battery guide for multi-day charging habits. Faces persist until you change them in the account.

Collect badges each evening if your venue rules require it — otherwise wear throughout the hall.

Expo security may ask for visible names on chests — e-ink faces satisfy that without a print partner on the stand.

After breakdown

Pack all units back in the box and use the prepaid return label. Missing badges delay the next customer’s kit — count at pack-down.

Freight to the show and hire postage are separate mental buckets — our £20 line is programmed kits out and back from Cleckheaton, not your booth drayage.

Exhibitor versus attendee templates

Exhibitor faces can emphasise firm and stand number; staff may share the same layout with a smaller role line. All of it is the 250×122 three-ink grid — swap templates in the designer, not hardware in the box.

If your show issues its own lanyards, clip our white bezel the same way you would a paper insert — the readable surface is the e-paper face, not a sleeve you slide into.

Compare hire at £6 per day against printing new exhibitor tents for every staff rotation mid-show.

Ship from Cleckheaton before freight to the hall — programming time is not show build time.
