Hire kits ship from Cleckheaton with faces already on the hardware — not blank devices and not a bag of inserts. We pack the way we want to open it at 6.45am on a chapter morning. Quantity × days × £6 plus £20 postage covers programmed badges and the return label.
Charged badges with names on the 250×122 face, white bezels, MEMBER or VISITOR bars as designed, QR on the right when you added one. Each device is labelled so greeters match hardware to people quickly.
A prepaid return label for the outbound courier’s collection or drop-off — hire only. Bought devices ship without a return label.
Lanyards are yours to supply unless we agree otherwise — the hire line is programmed e-ink hardware, not a box of strap colours.
Brick red, black, and e-paper white — the same three inks as the physical display. Chapter mark, seat line, role text — all on the face you approved in the designer, not on paper behind a plastic wallet.
Allow lead time between your final name list and the event. We confirm the booking when dates are reserved; a request alone is not a hold.

No automatic spare badges — order the quantity you need. No onsite printer. No lanyard reprint kit. If you expect walk-ins, count them in your quantity and design visitor faces ahead of time.
Cables for charging are not usually needed for a single-day event — badges arrive charged. Multi-day hire is covered in the battery guide.
Checkout offers 1, 10, 25, and 50 as quick paths. One badge proves the hardware. Ten suits a table. Twenty-five fits most UK chapter mornings. Fifty covers larger conferences.
Postage is £20 out and back on hire, bundled in the quoted total alongside quantity × days × £6.
First-hand: we open ours before members arrive — badges are charged, faces match the list, return label tucked under the foam. Greeters should not need a screwdriver or a printer driver.
If something does not match the name list, email hire@inkbadgehire.com with the booking reference before you handwritten-fix a face — we can often push a correction during the hire window.
